Information on the final process and laying the surface.

The aggregate that is used in the surface material is much finer than that which is found in the binder course.  It is designed to give the tarmac road or driveway a much smoother, finer finish.  Laying the surface course is similar to the process of laying the binder course, but because it is the final surface, tarmac contractors Cardiff such as Regency Drives Ltd will take great care to ensure that this layer is as perfect as possible.  The level of the surface must be more accurate than that of the binder course – accurate to about ± 6mm, as a matter of fact. A paver machine will easily level the surface to accurate specifications because it is designed to do precisely that.  In hand-laid projects, it is up to the skilled and experienced rake-hands to accurately level the material to create smooth tarmac surfacing.
