It provides the base adhesive and the preparation for the tarmac to stick and give the best surface finish possible. The tack is normally applied through spray and the amount needed and used is approx 0.5 litres for every square metre of driveways, car park or drive. Some coats need to be heated up before laying although it can be applied cold.
